Sustainable IT measures and optimises the environmental footprint of your IT systems. Training & awareness

Meaningful transformation isn’t just about tapping into our team of experts, but empowering all people. This is where any project we’re a part of starts and ends.

From in-depth workshops to custom training materials, our approach builds awareness around the subject of sustainable IT, and gives autonomy to teams to steer their journey in the long-term, not just from the start and end date of our engagement. We begin with the backbone of our sustainable approach - the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), 17 global goals designed to be a "shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future."

Optimisation

Our Impact Tracker inspires deep-seated change, but a PALO IT project isn’t simply throwing out the old for the new, it’s taking existing solutions and gearing them towards sustainability.

From devices, to networks, to data centres and power grids, we take the whole of an IT infrastructure and measure, transfer and enhance it to better address one’s carbon footprint. The GR491 Handbook of Sustainable Design of Digital Services, created by Institutes for Sustainable IT provides the framework for us to begin this evaluation. This, supplemented, by the guidance of the UN SDGs, allows us to connect the dots and optimise systems from top to bottom.

Transparency & Comms

So you've got the tools and methodologies under your wing, but how can you disperse this information in a useful, understandable way across an organisation? Sustainability always requires a multi-dimensional strategy, and the aspect of communications is no different. From finance to production, procurement to marketing, addressing the challenge at hand touches all parts of an organisation, not just IT teams.

Informational transparency and seamless communication is how we stay Agile, and ensure every stakeholder has a full view of what’s at stake, progress made, and where future improvements are taking us.
