THE MOVEMENT OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS | FRANCE
Introducing impact metrics to the masses
Transforming businesses via a social and ecological measurement tool
Context
The Movement of Social Entrepreneurs, or simply 'The Movement', is an organisation in France striving for large-scale ecological and social transition, involving businesses of all sorts—from SMEs to MNCs.
The group sought to create a simple first step for companies who want to understand where they stand in regards to environmental and social performance. With a detailed analysis in tow, businesses would have the ability to better acknowledge both strengths and weaknesses in the realm of positive impact.
Challenge
PALO IT built a powerful design and fluid user experience into the platform, dubbed the Impact Score. The tool was developed against a challenging timeline, in time for its beta launch during the 2020 edition of Summer Universities of Tomorrow's Economy in France.
The results were encouraging, to say the least, with the solution roundly applauded as a game-changer in France's increasing push for sustainable, economically-viable business models. Of note, Cédric O, Secretary of State for Digital Transition and Electronic Communications, voiced that he was "ready to use the Impact Score to set the standard of using technology for the greater good and transparency."
Outcomes
Of note, the project produced an Impact Score mini-site (for French speakers) featuring:
- A native application for businesses to integrate on their own web portals
- A fluid UX & UI design bringing a visual punch to the scoring system, and tailor-made to branch the platform through social networks
- Simple, clean admin functionality, granting custom control to the client for future enhancement
